Mathematics is one of the oldest scientific disciplines in existence, but it plays a critical role in our 21st-century world. Our mathematics program offers a robust education in a welcoming and supportive community, where you’ll learn from dedicated teachers who also are accomplished researchers, alongside students who excel at national research conferences and prestigious contests.
Welcome to Mathematics at Clark
Undergraduate Programs
We offer a major and minor in mathematics, a minor in data science, a computational science concentration, and a concentration in mathematical biology and bioinformatics.
Research and Experiential Learning
Our faculty excel at research, but they also are accessible. They will work with you to explore what fascinates you about math, whether it’s differential geometry, bioinformatics, functional analysis, or something else.
Careers and Internships in Mathematics
Whether you focus on pure or applied mathematics, you will graduate with indispensable skills that lead to careers in fields as diverse as software engineering, finance, actuarial science, and teaching. Many students take advantage of our internship opportunities to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to the workplace.
